• If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, take it out of operation and
protect it from any accidental use. Safe operation can no longer be guaranteed
if the product:
- is visibly damaged,
- is no longer working properly,
- has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or
- has been subjected to any serious transport-related stresses.
• Please handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a low height
can damage the product.
• Connect the appliance to a wall socket that can be accessed easily.
• Never pull the mains plug from the socket by pulling at the cable. Always pull it
from the mains socket using the intended grips.
• Unplug the mains plug from the mains socket if you do not use the device for an
extended period of time.
• Disconnect the mains plug from the mains socket in thunderstorms for reasons
of safety.
• Make sure that the mains cable is not squeezed, bent, damaged by sharp edges
or put under mechanical stress. Avoid excessive thermal stress on the mains
cable from extreme heat or cold. Do not modify the mains cable. Otherwise the
mains cable may be damaged. A damaged mains cable can cause a deadly
electric shock.
• Never plug in or unplug the mains plug when your hands are wet.
• Do not touch the product when it is in operation and you have noticed damages;
this could result in a lethal danger due to electric shock! Switch off the power
supply to the power outlet where the LED rope light is plugged in. To do this, first
disconnect the related circuit breaker (or remove the fuse); then the corresponding
residual current circuit breaker must be switched off. Now you can remove the
LED rope light from the power socket.
• A damaged power cable cannot be replaced. In that case, dispose of the product
in an environmentally responsible way.
• Do not connect the rope light electrically with other rope lights.
• The lights become hot during operation. Keep the product away from highly
combustible materials while operating.
• Attention, LED light: Do not look directly into the LED light! Do not look into the
beam directly or with optical instruments!
• Do not drive over or step on the product.
• In commercial institutions, the accident prevention regulations of the Employer’s
Liability Insurance Association for Electrical Systems and Operating Facilities are
to be observed.
• Maintenance, modifications and repairs are to be performed exclusively by an
expert or at a qualified shop.
• If you have questions which remain unanswered by these operating instructions,
contact our technical support service or other technical personnel.
Notes on installation
• The product’s design complies with IP44; it can be installed and used indoors and outdoors.
However, never install the product on or inside vehicles.
• Do not set up or operate the product under water.
• Do not use this product in rooms that are under adverse environmental conditions where
combustible gases, vapours or dust are or may be present! There is a risk of explosion!
• Take care that during installation the LED light rope won’t be damaged; never use nails or
screws to fasten the LED light rope. Danger of electric shock!
• Also, extension cables that may be used must be suitable for the use in outdoor areas. Make
sure that the plug connection is never placed in or under water, e.g., in puddles or in areas
where water might accumulate during rain or flooding!
• Always lay the cables so that nobody can trip over or become entangled in them. This poses
a risk of injury.
• Do not connect the product to the power supply while it is still in the packaging. Lay the
product out entirely before connecting it to the power supply.
• Do not hang any objects from the product and do not cover the product.

The flexible LED rope light is suitable for indoor and outdoor decorations (IP44).
For safety and approval purposes (CE), you must not rebuild and/or modify this product. If you
use the product for purposes other than those described above, the product may be damaged.
In addition, improper use can cause hazards such as short circuiting, fire, electric shock etc.
Read the instructions carefully and keep them. Make this product available to third parties only
together with its operating instructions.
