Never point the hot air flow at people or animals.
•
Do not touch the "conical nozzle" (1) or "heat shield" (2) while the device is in operation. Wait until the
device has cooled fully.
• In the event that the device falls onto the ground, check for damage before continuing operation.
• Discontinue use of the weed killer immediately if you notice any unusual noises or vibration. Take the
weed killer to a qualified professional immediately for investigation and, where necessary, repair.
• Do not operate the device when it is unattended. Switch the device off and place it on a non-combustible
surface, e.g. concrete, a stone pavement or bare earth free of combustible material.
• If the power supply is interrupted while working with the weed killer, e.g. the plug is inadvertently pulled
out of the socket or there is a power failure, switch the On/Off switch (4) to the "Off" position. Otherwise,
there is a risk of fire when the power supply is restored.
• Do not bend too far forwards or backwards and ensure to maintain balance when working. Be attentive
to the surroundings. Avoid unevenness and trip hazards of any kind.
• Avoid direct physical contact with earthed objects while working with the weed killer. There is an
increased risk of electric shock.
• Avoid switching the weed killer on and off frequently and at short intervals.
• Do not use the device if the power or extension cable is twisted.
•
Do not point the conical nozzle (1) downwards immediately once you have finished using the weed killer.
This can cause the device to overheat and result in malfunctions.
• Work only during daylight hours and in an orderly environment. Dark environments or disorderly
environments are a hazardous source of accidents.
•
Do not use the weed killer in explosive environments or in the vicinity of flammable gaseous substances
or dusts.
• Keep onlookers and children away from the device. Avoid any kind of distraction while working and
ensure full concentration.
