How to install

  Connect to the 

CobraNet

Connect the Asano A3 to the CobraNet network using 

Ethernet (CAT5e) cable.

CobraNet is configured  using ETS

  Connect the 

input sources

•  Source 1 : analogue input using RCA connector

•  Source 2 : digital input using S/PDIF connector

Digital output

 - Zone 1

An external amplifier can be connected using the digital  

S/PDIF output (zone 1).   The amplifier can be switched  

on and off using the 12V trigger output.

Analogue output

s - Zone 2 & 3

The two analogue zones are connected with RJ45, which is 

compatible with B&O Powerlink. The RJ45 outputs can also 

be converted to standard RCA connectors using the optional 

A3 Audio Splitter (718-01)

. The A3 splitter has a separate 

trigger output to switch on and off the amplifier. 

IMPORTANT: 

Shielded/Foiled twisted pair (S/FTP), such as 

Cat.7, should always be used to connect the analogue zones 

to the Asano A3.

KNX bus

Connection to the KNX bus is made by using the standard 

KNX push wire connection

 Power supply

The Asano A3 has to be powered by a Euro mains power lead 

with a 230 V AC input.

To avoid power surges never disconnect the active power 

cable at the side of the device .
