5.3 Operation
•
Before using the rice cooker for the first time the removable inner pot and the inner
lid should be washed with a warm soapsuds and rinsed off and dried thoroughly
afterwards.
CAUTION!
Ensure that the inner pan is dry and clean on the outside.
•
The inside and outside of the outer pot should be wiped thoroughly with a soft and
damp cloth in order to remove dust that has gathered during packing and transport.
Not at any time the outer pot should be dunked into water or other fluids.
•
After accomplishment of the above shown steps the inner pot is to be reinserted into
the outer pot. Do not fill the outer pot with water or other fluids.
•
Now the rice cooker is ready for the cooking and keeping warm of rice.
•
Before filling in the rice place the burnt-proof pad
(scorch protection) on the bottom of the inner pot.
Make sure the distance piece stays at the bottom
while filling in the water.
•
Measure off the amount of rice via the provided measuring cup and wash it in a
separate bowl.
•
You may only cook a maximum amount of six cups of rice at time.
•
Fill in the washed rice into the inner pot of the rice cooker and add the appropriate
amount of water (see chart beneath).
CAUTION!
The top water mark must not be exceeded!
•
Place the inner pot into the outer pot and carefully turn it to the left and the right in
order to ensure that it is placed properly on the heating surface which is inevitable
for good heat transmission.
•
Flap down the lid until the safety bracket snaps into the lock via a “click”.
