6. Cleaning and maintenance
6.1 Safety advice
o
Before beginning with repair or cleaning works make sure the device has been
disconnected from power socket (pull the power plug!!!) and has cooled down.
o
Do not use any acid agents and make sure no water ingresses the device.
o
To protect yourself from electric shock,
never
immerse the device, its cables and the
plug in water or other liquids.
CAUTION!
The device is not suited for direct washing via water jets. Therefore, you must not
use any kind of pressure water jet for cleaning the device!
6.2 Cleaning
o
Clean the unit regularly.
o
Wash the unit's interior and exterior with warm water, a moist cloth and delicate
cleaning agent.
o
Wipe the unit with clean water.
o
Clean the door seals regularly. To do so, use a soft cloth and delicate cleaning agent,
then scrup the seal with a soft cloth.
ATTENTION!
Never use hot water to clean the unit!
Never use abrasive chemicals, such as scouring powder, alcoholic or alkaline
substances, solvents, or petrol, which may damage elements made from artificial
materials and/or paint.
o
After washing, dry and polish the unit with a soft cloth.
Defrost
o
Disconnect the unit from its outlet (remove plug).
o
Open the door and remove all contents from the inside.
o
Remove any built-up ice using a scraper from artificial materials, or leave the doors
open long enough for the ice to melt. Remove remaining water and ice with a cloth.
o
Wash the interior and exterior of the unit.
o
Dry the unit thoroughly.
o
Leave the door open long enough for the unit to dry out.
