Operating, servicing and maintaining
a passenger vehicle or off-road
vehicle can expose you to chemicals
including engine exhaust, carbon
monoxide, phthalates, and lead,
which are known to the State of
California to cause cancer and birth
defects or other reproductive harm.
To
minimize exposure, avoid
breathing exhaust, do not idle the
engine except as necessary, service
your vehicle in a well-ventilated area
and wear gloves or wash your hands
frequently when servicing your

California Spark Arrester

Warning
Operation of this equipment may create
sparks that can start fires around dry
vegetation.
A spark arrester may be required.
The operator should contact local fire
agencies for laws or regulations relating to fire
prevention requirements.
It is a violation of California Public Resource
Code Section 4442 or 4443 to use or operate
the engine on any forest-covered, brush-
covered, or grass-covered land unless the
engine is equipped with a spark arrester, as
defined in Section 4442, maintained in effective
working order or the engine is constructed,
equipped, and maintained for the prevention of
fire pursuant to Section 4443.
The engine of this machine is not equipped with
a spark arrester.
In some areas there are local, state, or federal
regulations requiring that a spark arrester be
used on the engine of this machine.
The recommended spark arrester for this
machine is Part No.49025N Spark Arrester
