• The maximum ambient operating temperature is 40° C.
• Leave sufficient front and rear space to ensure that airflow through the
Barco Media Server is not restricted.
• Distribute the units evenly, when installing equipment in a rack, to
prevent hazardous conditions that may be created by uneven weight
distribution.
• Connect the Barco Media Server only to a properly rated supply circuit.
• Maintain reliable grounding (earthing) of rack-mounted equipment.
• Mount the Barco Media Server in a four-post rack, using the following
steps.
1. Install a chassis rack-mount bracket on each side of the
chassis, using the 10-32 screws (provided). See
Fig-
ure 2.1, “Chassis rack-mount bracket installation” .
Adjust the location to the proper depth of the rack en-
closure into which the XPR-Series server will be in-
stalled.

2. Install the rear support brackets to the rear posts of the
rack frame, using mounting screws (not provided) de-
signed for use in the rack enclosure into which the XPR-
Series server will be installed. See
Figure 2.2, “Rear
support brackets” .
