In dual view or pan&zoom mode, both input signals selected by the windows
are shown on the screen. The active window is still highlighted in white in the
status bar and refers to the fact that certain settings can be changed for the
active window only (e.g. toggle between color and monochrome by pressing
( )
will only be applied to the active window).

no signals available, then the “Invalid signal” indicator is shown on a black
screen.
