- Appliance without substructure fan box (convection fan):
The Ø125 mm (external) air supply connection is located in the appliance
and is accessible by fi rst removing a round disc at the bottom.
Mount then the connection ring (Ø126 mm internal) supplied (see section
3.5 and 4.1) and make a combustion air supply to the outside.
For example with a Ø125 mm fl exible aluminium pipe.
- Appliance with substructure fan box (convection fan):
Use the Ø125 mm (external) air supply connection at the left of the fan
box. Fit a rigid or fl exible pipe measuring Ø125 mm between this air
supply connection and the “outside air supply opening in the wall/fl oor”.
3.3.2. Fitting in an existing chimney breast
• Remove the existing fi re basket or stoking stones and remove the shut-off
fl ap. The chimney must be intact and must not be damaged during fi tting.
The chimney breast opening must be big enough for a gap of 1 - 3 cm to be
left all round the appliance. Clad the chimney breast opening from the inside
with a ceramic wool fi reblanket or similar (see section 3.3).
• Extend the existing chimney so that it ends at the appliance’s smoke outlet.
To do this, use a fl exible, double-walled stainless steel chimney, for example.
• Slide the appliance into the chimney breast opening. Seal the smoke
outlet where it joins the chimney so that no soot can accumulate above the
appliance
under any circumstances
.
• Level off the appliance so that the cover does not catch on the base.
• Fill any gaps around the appliance with a ceramic insulation wool fi reblanket
and position the frame (where supplied)
In the case of utilisation of convection air:
• Remove the detachable fl ap on the underneath and ensure that there is
at least 1 cm free space (niche) below the appliance. (See paragraph 3.5,
photos 1 and 2.)
