Programming the serial number into ML Gateway
When PCB52, Digi module has been
replaced, the serial number of ML
Gateway must be programmed into
the new module. This is only possible
at the command line interface (CLI).
For Telnet information please refer to
‘Additional information’ page 4.2.
- Procedure:
- Click
Start , choose Run , type cmd
and press Enter to open command
prompt.
Type telnet (space) 192.168.1.10 *
and press Enter . Type admin
(password) to login.
* If the IP address is changed or if a
DHCP setup is used in the network,
the IP address must be found in the
network router, and entered instead
.
- The command line interface (CLI) will
look as illustrated here.
- Type _ SETSN xxxxxxxx (xx...= serial
no.) and press Enter.
Please refer to the product label
placed on the top cover of ML
Gateway to locate the serial number.
- If the programme is successful the
command line interface shows:
MLGW > _SETSN XXXXXXXX
Serial number set
.
! The serial number can be checked by typing MLGW > _SETSN . Then the serial
number is read out.
Important!
When PCB52, Digi module has been replaced and the serial number has been
programmed, it is very important to set the ML Gateway in
shipmode . This will set
the product in the same mode as delivered from factory, and most importantly, it
locks the serial number.
Procedure:
- At prompt type MLGW > _shipmode
