In order to ensure data integrity, data transfer between the data carrier and processor can be
monitored using a check procedure.
In the processor a CRC_16 data check can be configured. In CRC_16 data checking a check
code is implemented on the data carrier which enables the data to be checked for validity at any
time. If a correct CRC_16 checksum is recognized, it is output in bytes 1 and 2 of the data
record. If an error is detected, instead of the checksum 00

To be able to use the CRC_16 data check procedure, the data carriers must first be initialized
using a BIS L-60_ _ processor and the BISCOMRW.EXE software or a BIS L-81_ portable reader
(refer to the user's guide for the equipment used).
The CRC_16 data check can only be used with data carriers of type BIS L-10X-05/L
The communications connection between Communications Module and the host system can be
implemented in serial RS22 (BIS Z-EL 002) or in the physical Ethernet network (BIS Z-EL 001).
There Internet Protocol (IP) is used. The Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) ensures complete,
errorless and properly sequenced data transmission
