Before your whirlpool heater can be installed, you must

install a separate 120VAC, 15 amp dedicated circuit with

a Ground Fault Circuit Interupter (GFCI) for the heater and

for the pump.

InItIaL Start UP

Prior to operation, make sure you have read and understand the Important Safety

Instructions listed on the reverse side of this manual.
With the power ON, push the GFCI TEST button.  This should cause the reset button to pop

out; simply push it back in to reset.  If the reset button does not pop out, this indicates that

there is a ground fault or malfunction and a possibility of electrical shock to the user.
turn off the power and do not use the bath until the problem has been diagnosed and
repaired.

Once the heater is installed, it comes on automatically when the pump and wall switches

are set to ON.  The indicator light  illuminates whenever the heater is on.  The heater

maintains the temperature of the whirlpool bath water with a built-in thermostat.  If the

thermostat fails, a safety circuit, or “Intelligent High-Limit Switch” will disengage the heater

automatically.  Simply turn the switch to the Off position and wait for the temperature to

cool down before it resets.  If the safety circuit turns off the heater frequently, this indicates

a problem that needs to be diagnosed by an authorized service technician.

USE COPPER CONDUCTORS ONLY to route two separate

branch circuits to the junction box near the whirlpool.  Each

branch circuit must be GFCI protected.
The installation of two separate On/Off wall switches for the

heater and the pump is highly recommended for safety.  Add

the switches in series with two branch circuits so that the

user can easily access the switch when necessary.
