Green Standby Indicator:
The green indicator comes ON when the unit is in its Standby mode. In this case, pressing
the POWER switch will make the unit alternate between OFF and Standby states.
NOTE: VK-6200 is automatically switched into its Standby mode when a remote control
plug is installed in the Remote IN jack on the back panel. In that case VK-6200 can be
only turned ON by application of the remote 12V trigger signal to the remote IN
connector. A 3.5mm Mono Phone Plug is used for the remote control connector. It
should be wired as follows:
Case (Outer Lead)
Negative
Center Lead
+12V Trigger Source
Red Fault Indicator:
The red FAULT indicator will come ON when the unit detects any kind of fault condition
with any of its channels.
The possible reasons include:
1. Channel overheating. In this case the Fault LED will be flashing until the channel has a
chance to cool down to its normal operating temperature. At this point the Fault indicator
will turn OFF.
2. One of the amplifier channels had detected an internal fault. In this case the Fault LED
will stay ON. It is advisable in such a case to turn the VK-6200 OFF for several minutes
and then turn it ON again. In some cases this may clear the fault and the unit may resume
normal operation.
3. If the RED Fault indicator stays ON permanently, then the unit may have an internal fault
that requires service.
