3. Place the Sensor Cage inside the Liquid Well.
4. Use the Sleeve Changing Tool to insert the Tub Insert in the Liquid Well. (if a Tub Insert is
required)
5. Insert the Test Specimen into the Sensor Cage.
6. Pour the Calibration Liquid into the Liquid Well and Tub Insert. Make sure not to overfill, if
overfilled, use the Bilge Pump to remove the excess fluid. For instructions on how to operate
the Bilge Pump, refer to the DryTC / LiquidTC Calibrator User Manual.
Note:
When using water as the calibration liquid, only use distilled water to stop an excessive
lime-scale build up and soiling.
Note:
The fluid level in the Liquid Well can rise due to thermal expansion, displacement of
fluid due to the Tub Insert and test piece and from stirring. The fill levels for the Liquid Well
and Tub Inset are shown below:
a. Liquid Well: The maximum fill level in the Liquid Well is displayed on the upper edge of
the aluminium lining. The fill level is approximately 0.45
litres
b. Tub Inset: The maximum fill level in the Tub Insert is displayed below the fixture below
the Sleeve Changing Tool. The fill level is approximately 0.32
litres.
7. Install the Work Cover onto the Tank.
8. Set the required stirring speed using the thumb wheel next to the controller on the front panel.
5. Start Up - Dry and Liquid Calibrator
1. Connect the power supply cord to a mains outlet.
2. Switch the unit on. The text
appears on the upper half of the controller screen. The
version number is displayed in green text in the lower half of the screen.
Note:
The start up sequence takes approximately five seconds to complete, The equipment
then enters Calibration Mode. For more data regarding the different modes, refer to the
DryTC / LiquidTC User Manual.
WARNING
Make sure that the equipment is connected to a protective earth
during operation.
Never operate the equipment in potentially explosive atmospheres.
