General Welding Use
1. Before attempting any welding, it is very important to connect the welder’s ground clamp to
the 1-1/2” (38mm) diameter aluminum ground clamping stud. Failure to connect the ground
could cause control failure.
2. Insert material into the chuck and set your welder.
3. Strike an arc and begin depressing the foot pedal speed up or slow down depending on your
puddle / weld results.
4. It is sometimes easier to set the max speed of the weld / chuck to be full compression of the
foot pedal. This requires less coordination.
5. The above septs are merely suggested ways to dial in the machine. Every welder will have
their own method of welding and the WP-1800F will be able to be configured to meet their
style of welding.
