Adjusting 45º and 90º Positive Stops
The stops have been adjusted at the factory. After a
period of use, or, after moving the saw to another
location, the stops may no longer be set properly.
To check and adjust the stops:
1. Disconnect saw from power source.
2. Raise the saw blade to its maximum height using
the handwheel.
3. Set the blade at 45º to the table by turning the
blade tilting handwheel counterclockwise until it
stops.
4. Place a combination square on the table against
the blade and check to see that the blade is at a
45º angle to the table. Make sure square is not
touching a blade tooth. (square at 90º shown.)
5. Place a combination square on the table against
the blade. Make sure square is not touching a
blade tooth.
6. If the blade is not 45º;
a. Open the motor cover.
b. Loosen the jam nut and turn adjusting stop
screw (A) on the front trunnion in, or out until
the blade is at 45º.
c. Hold the adjustment bolt in position and
tighten the jam nut.
7. Set the blade at 90º to the table by turning the blade tilting handwheel clockwise until it
stops.
8. Place a combination square on the table against
the blade and check to see that the blade is at a
90º angle to the table. Make sure square is not
touching a blade tooth.
9. If blade is not at 90º
a. Remove the height adjustment handwheel
to gain access to the adjustment bolt.
b. Removing the lock knob and then loosening
the set screw and pull the handwheel and
key off the shaft.
