For purposes of explaining the WAN cabling, fiber optic cable is used as the example.
Follow the steps below to attach the fiber optic cable to the eNB.
1.
Use an M4 cross screwdriver to unscrew the three screws on the cover of the wiring
cavity located on the side of the eNB (Figure 3-4). Open the wiring cavity.
2.
Connect the optical fiber cable to the
OPT
interface in the wiring cavity.
3.
Lay the optical fibers along the wire groove in the cavity to stretch outside the cover.

3.3.5
Connect Ethernet Cable
The Ethernet cable is typically used only during the initial installation configuration. It is used
to connect a local PC to the eNB ETH port to launch the GUI. Actual configuration steps are
explained in section 3.5.
