LEVELING THE DECK
1.
Start on a flat level surface and set the air pressure
in all four tires to 12 psi. Measure the deck at all
four corners. The deck should be level from left to
right but 1/4" lower in the front than in the rear.
adjustments can be made by adjusting the deck
hangers in their slots.
2.
Using a pair of approximately 3 ft. long 2x4's, stand
the boards on edge and slide them under the deck
from front to back as shown.
3.
Lower the deck down onto the 2x4's.
4.
Using a pair of 9/16" wrenches, loosen the deck
hanger chain turn buckles located at the rear of the
deck. adjust the chain turn buckles up or down to
adjust left to right measurements only. Adjust in
small increments while measuring the rear of the
deck only, then move to the front.
5.
The large turnbuckles located on the front of the
deck adjust the pitch of the deck only and must be
adjusted together to maintain the same tension on
the front of the deck. If the turnbuckles are not
exactly the same length, this will cause the deck to
twist and be out of level.
6.
Adjust front turn buckles as necessary to achieve
proper 1/4" downward pitch of the deck.
7.
Re-tighten all hardware before mowing.
