9. If the depth of the drum is so the preamp does

not fit straight vertically between the bottom and

top hoops, then, in most cases, the preamp can

be rotated so it is angled to fit.

10. Thread the connector and lead wire from the

contact mic through the nut.

If this does not fit, remove the flange carefully.

Remove the flange so that the preamp fits flush to

the drum shell.
