It is important to remember that the change is measured with respect to the last time the register was
observed on
Modbus
, not to the last time it was
published on MQTT
.
In the diagram above, the green bars represent the ±10% change that is dynamically calculated after each new
sample is received.
An MQTT publish will be triggered only if the next sample value lies outside of the allowed range, represented by
the green bar.
For the “Change” event type, only a percentage or
relative
change can be specified. That means the actual change
in value required to trigger an event will vary.
