Naming your Drive
If you didn’t already, you may want to give your Drive a unique name to
distinguish it from other storage devices connected to your computer. Usually,
you assign a name to a hard drive during the formatting setup process.
However, you can change the name of a hard drive at any time.
Mac Users:
1.
Locate the Drive icon on your computer’s Desktop.
2.
Click and hold the mouse button on the icon’s label until it is highlighted.
3.
Type in a name and press Return/Enter.
PC Users:
1.
Double-click on My Computer.
2.
In the My Computer window click on the Drive icon.
3.
In the File menu, select Properties.
4.
Under the General tab of the Properties window, type a name in the text
field beside the Drive icon.
