The Display sub-menu contains the Display Timeout
Setting.
Display Timeout (5s, 15s, 30s, 60s, Never) – While
the system is active, the display will automatically turn
off after a period of inactivity defined by this setting.
Please note that leaving the display timeout in
“Never” mode can cause faster than normal
fading of the display.
The Network sub-menu allows you to perform Wi-Fi
setup procedures, access your device’s IP addresses, check
for network firmware updates, and perform a network
reset that clears your network settings.
Wi-Fi Setup – The AP and WPS functions found here
allow you to connect your EX-8 to a home network. For
detailed instructions, please refer to the Wi-Fi setup
section of the manual (page 29).
Connection – The connection screen will display the
EX-8’s current LAN and WLAN IP addresses.
Check for Update – Once confirmed, the EX-8 will
attempt to contact Ayre’s FTP server and determine if
the local firmware is the latest available. If an update is
available, it will be installed automatically. For more
information, refer to the Firmware Update section of the
manual (page 25).
