Setting up the unit
To activate the unit, connect the included power supply with the unit and a suitable 230V, 50 Hz power outlet.
The unit will activate directly after it is plugged in to a wall outlet or other power source.
The ALO 019 is equipped with a digital display, showing current working modes, but is also used to change
certain settings on the fixture. Use the Menu, Up, Down and Enter buttons to cancel, change and confirm
certain settings.
The display will show the following statuses:

ADDR:
DMX address setting, used to determine the DMX starting channel. From this channel on, the fixture
will respond to values, corresponding with the amount of channels that the fixture is occupying. (For
example, when you set the starting address to value 003, the fixture will respond to channels 3, 4, 5, etc.)
SLAU:
When using the master/slave function, you need to connect 2 or more fixtures using a XLR 3p male
-XLR 3p female cable. The first fixture in line needs to be set as master, the others as Slave. This way, the
slaves will mimic the behavior of the master fixture for wonderful synchronized lighting shows.
SOUD:
Activate or disable the built-in sound controlled mode. This way, the fixture will respond to the beat of
the music.
AUTO:
The fixture will perform its own light show, with built-in programs, which change automatically, on a
certain (non-editable) speed.
The ALO 019 is equipped with several working modes, a short explanation for each mode is displayed below
for your convenience:
Auto run mode:
The fixture will run its automatic internal program on a predefined speed.
Sound active mode:
The fixture will run its automatic internal program on the beat of the music, with the built-in microphone. The
microphone sensitivity is adjustable with a potentiometer, located at the bottom of the fixture, below the
microphone.
Please note that the fixture will not (properly) respond to high frequencies. It is also possible that speakers
are placed too far away from the fixture, which may cause non-responsive behavior in relation to the music.
Master/slave mode:
It is possible to connect several ALO 019 fixtures with standard XLR 3p male – XLR 3p female cables,
without the use of a DMX-controller. In this mode, the first fixture in the chain will perform as master (in the
automatic or music controlled mode). The other fixtures in the chain, set to slave-mode, will mimic the
performance of the first fixture, for synchronized lightshows.
DMX:
The ALO 019 can be connected to a DMX-controller with standard XLR 3p male – XLR 3p female cable.
