 a) Press the MOVE button until the arrow pointer is pointing at the amplitude 

menu item.

 b) Press the CHANGE button. The amplitude submenu will appear. Rotate the 

ADJUST knob until the amplitude is set at +700V (or -700V for "-N" 
instruments). 

 c) Observe the oscilloscope. You should see 5 us wide, 700V pulses.

 d) Rotate the ADJUST knob. The amplitude as seen on the oscilloscope should 

vary. 

 e) Press CHANGE to return to the main menu.

 11. Repeat step 10, but set the amplitude to zero.

 12. This completes the operational check.
