HMX Manager Installer/User Guide
To delete a unit:
1. In a Units View window, click to select the checkbox next to the unit name. To delete all units
on the page, click to select the checkbox to the left of name at the top of the list.
2. Click Delete. The unit is immediately removed from the HMX Manager database and
disappears from the list.
Managing units
All configuration options under the Unit Settings menu in the side navigation window involve live
communication with an IQ or user station. The IQ or user station must be powered up, discovered
and added for the HMX Manager to display its properties.
If the HMX Manager cannot communicate with an IQ or user station, it will display the following
communication error: "An error was encountered communicating with the Unit. Please check the
unit's network settings and connectivity."
Viewing Unit Overview Information
To view a summary of all units managed by the HMX Manager:
1. Click the Units tab. The Units All window will open.
2. A list is displayed of all the units (i.e., IQs and user stations) that are managed by the HMX
Manager.
3. To view a list that contains only IQs select the All IQs navigation option.
4. To view a list that contains only user stations select the All user stations navigation option.
The Unit Overview window
The Unit Overview window contains the following information about an individual unit:
• Name
• Type (IQ or user station)
• IP address
• MAC address
• Unit Session Status
The Unit Overview window enables you to:
• Change the name of a unit
• Reboot a unit
• Upgrade the firmware of a unit
To access the Unit Overview window:
1. Click the Units tab.
2. A list is displayed of all the units that are managed by the HMX Manager.
