POWER SUPPLY
If y ou would like, t he elect rical power supply can be used to s ave the batteries . Mak e sure that the unit is
unplugged from the wall outlet before ins erting the batt eries.
Open the battery compartment and insert 8 R14 batteries with respect to the "+" and "-" polarity indic ations
in the compart ment.
When replac ing the batt eries, make sure you dispose of t he old batteries in acc ordance with applicable
regulations. They should be dispos ed of in a loc ation s pecifically des ignated for that purpose so they can
be recyc led s afely and without pos ing any risk for the environment. Do not burn or bury them.
Incorrect use of the batteries may result in elec troly te leakage hav ing a c orrosiv e effec t in the
compart ment.
Do not mix different ty pes of batteries: do not use alkaline batteries wit h saline batt eries, for ex ample.
only use batteries of the t ype recommended by the manufacturer.
Do not mix old and new bat teries when inserting new ones.
If the unit is not to be us ed for an extended period of t ime, remov e the batteries from t he unit.
Make sure that the v oltage indic ated on t he manufact urer's nameplat e in the battery c ompartment
c orresponds to the v olt age supplied by your elec tric al installat ion. If this is not t he c ase, consult your
dealer or s erv ic e center.
Connec t the electrical power cable the unit then plug it int o the wall outlet. The wall outlet must be
located near the produc t and be easily acc essible.
To turn power to the apparatus off , unplug t he power supply cable from the wall outlet .
To prot ect the unit during violent t hunderstorms, unplug the power s upply c able f rom the wall outlet.
