Glossary
Video Memory
A special area of memory used by the hardware which operates the system’s display or monitor.
View angle
LCD has lower power consumption, low voltage requirement, and is thin and light, so that it is suitable for high resolution
full color pictures. However, its weak point is its narrow view angle. View angle means the angle from which the screen can
be watched. Wider view angel means
brightness and resolution are consistent without regard to viewers’ location.
Vertical frequency
Number of screen output repetitions per second is called Vertical frequency or ‘Refresh rate’. The unit is Hz.
