1. This product is intended for indoor use only. If it is necessary to install the product outdoors, it should
be protected by a rain shed or other facilities to prevent exposure to rain and excessive sunlight.
2. To avoid interference, there should be no large metal objects nor strong magnetic fields within 2
meters of the walk-through metal detector. If there is a metal structure near the installation site, the
distance between the walk-through metal detector and metal structure shall be at least 70cm; take into
consideration the size of the metal structure and increase the separation if necessary. Electronic
products, such as generators, televisions and other similar products should be excluded from the
immediate area. Sizeable moving metal objects such as revolving doors and vehicles should be avoided.
If using more than one metal detector in the same area, be sure to choose different working frequencies
(see section 4.3 below).
3. The installation location should avoid power lines and communication cables.
4. The metal detector shall not be installed in high temperature nor high humidity environments (refer
to specifications).
5. Only authorized, trained professional service personnel should be allowed to access and repair the
components of this metal detector.
6. The walk through a metal detector will achieve the best detection results after a 1-minute self-check.
7. The metal detector must be installed on a flat, vibration-free surface; it is essential to avoid any
contact with the detector frame when passing through to prevent false alarms caused by the motion of
the metal detector.

The following instructions are for the initial product installation and daily operation of the
equipment. Deviations from these instructions should only be made to comply with local laws,
regulations and government requirements.
