The employer is responsible for ensuring that tool maintenance instructions are given to the appropriate personnel.
The operator should not be involved in maintenance or repair of the tool unless properly trained.

Every 500000 cycles the tool should be completely dismantled and new components should be used where worn, damaged or
recommended. All ‘O’ rings and seals should be renewed and lubricated with Moly Lithium grease EP 3753 before assembling.
M A I N T E N A N C E
The airline must be disconnected before any servicing or dismantling is attempted unless specifically instructed otherwise.
It is recommended that any dismantling operation be carried out in clean conditions.

Before proceeding with dismantling, empty the oil from the tool. Remove bleed screw

drain the oil into a suitable container.
Prior to dismantling the tool it is necessary to remove the nose assembly. For simple removal instructions see the nose assemblies section,
pages 12 to 16.
For total tool servicing we advise that you proceed with dismantling of sub-assemblies in the order shown below. The procedure is the
same for all tools once the nose assembly has been removed.
PISTON & HEAD ASSEMBLY
On 07241 tool unscrew and remove end cap

together with pin tail deflector

remove bottle by unscrewing the retaining nut inside the bottle using spanner*.
On 07242 tool unscrew and remove end cap

and remove the stem collector bottle.
Disconnect trigger airline at base of tool by depressing outer collet and withdrawing airline.
Using a spanner*, disconnect the hose at base of pistol unit.
Using an Allen key*, remove screw

With spring compressor* held in vice, engage jaw spreader housing
