Electrical Safety
Do not install equipment that appears to be damaged.
Use these basic guidelines when working with any electrical equipment:
Locate the emergency power-off switch for the room in which you are
working before beginning any procedures requiring access to the chassis
interior.
Disconnect all power and external cables before installing or removing a
chassis.
Work with at least one other person when potentially hazardous
conditions exist.
Disconnect the power from a circuit.
Do not perform any action that creates a potential hazard to people or
makes the equipment unsafe.
Examine your work area for possible hazards such as moist floors,
ungrounded power extension cables, and missing safety grounds.
Warning
Remove all jewelry like rings and watches before working on
equipment that is connected to power lines.
