Depending on the transceiver manufacturer, the SFP transceiver can use different types of
locking and extractor mechanisms.
The following figures show typical mechanisms used on SFP transceivers; other locking and
extractor mechanisms exist, although they are not shown here. In the following figure, the SFP
still uses the bore plug. Pull the bail to release the device.
The following figure shows the 1000BASE-SX MT-RJ SFP. Push the tab to release the
device.
The following figure shows the wrap-around latch-type extraction mechanism. To remove the
device, push the collar towards the module.
