System synchronization analysis

Use the information in this section to manually synchronize the DECT system, and eliminate
possible synchronization problems.

An analysis tool called Synchronization Analyzer is available in the DAP Configurator. You can
use this tool to generate a graphical overview of the synchronization structure in the system
and to calculate the best candidate for the synchronization master. You can also use it to detect
potential problems in the synchronization structure.

Synchronization Analyzer provides the following information displays:

• a hierarchical view of the DAP Synchronization using visibility files

• a three-dimensional localization of DAPs using location files

• a Traffic Bearer Control file analysis, which you can use to trace which DAPs a handset

used during a call

This section describes the Synchronization Analyzer interface.

To access the Synchronization Analyzer, click Start > All programs > DAP controller > DAP
Applications > DAP Sync Analyzer.
