Gripping edge
The Heavy duty timber grab is equipped with extra gripping edge as shown in the figure below. The gripping
edge is used for pushing logs down. Around the tube of the gripping edge is possible to bind a strap e.g. for
lowering branches from the log being cut.
Controlling the Timber grab without Opticontrol
®
The rotator is controlled by either with the optional attachment control
switch pack of the loader or with the cable harness provided with the
attachment. When the attachment control switch pack is used, the rotator is
controlled as follows:
1.
Selection switch between grapple and rotator
2.
Not in use with this attachment
3.
Not in use with this attachment
Use the red and blue pushbuttons or the auxiliary hydraulics control lever
for rotating the attachment to the left or to the right and controlling the
grapple.
Controlling the Timber grab with Opticontrol
®
When the loader is equipped with the optional Opticontrol
®
system, it is possible to use hydraulic functions
easily.
1.
Switch on the Opticontrol
®
mode with the separate selection switch
on the loader. See the adjacent figure.
2.
Use the switches of the attachment control switch pack to control the
different functions of the attachment. Opticontrol
®
will control the
auxiliary hydraulics output of the loader, so that the auxiliary
hydraulics control pushbuttons and switch number 2 can be used
directly without using the auxiliary hydraulics control lever.
