Recommended Network Switches
The DXE-218 will work with any 10/100 or faster switch for control and status.
The PoE is classified for up to 12.9 watts
(15.4 Watts Total). When selecting a PoE switch always make certain the power supply of the PoE switch is proper to
the port count (15.4W x qty of ports). For example, a 24 port PoE switch must have at least 369.6 Watts (24 at 15.4W)
for it to properly supply all 24 DXE devices. Some switches can only supply a certain amount of ports with PoE. If it is
necessary to use a particular switch, then PoE injectors for the remaining ports can be used or the local power supply
for the DXE-218 but you may need to disable the detection of the PoE for those ports in the Ethernet switch.
