Appendix: Parental Control
Parental Control
After inserting a DVD it might happen that a message is displayed, prompting you to enter a password. This
may be caused by the DVD rating. You have to enter a password if the DVD rating is above the parental
control rating.
Some DVDs contain several versions of the same movie, so any parental control system can be matched.
Enter the password you have chosen (default: 1234). You fi nd the parental control settings via Home Screen
-> Preferences -> General -> Disc -> Rating.
Rating-Levels
(following the MPAA (Motion Picture Association of America)) are
1 - Kid Safe / 2 - G / 3 - PG / 4 - PG-13 / 5 - PG-R / 6 - R / 7 - NC-17 / 8 - Adult
Environment Concerns
According to the European waste regulation 2002/96/EG this symbol on the product
or on its packaging indicates that this product may not be treated as household waste.
Instead it should be taken to the appropriate collection point for the recycling of electrical
and electronic equipment. By ensuring this product is disposed of correctly, you will hep
