Lubrication

Depending on the qualification, an exchange of grease and elastomer seals
is required after 12 years, at the latest. This figure is based on an average
ambient temperature of 40 °C. Radiation is not considered in this calcula-
tion.

Lubrication of the valve stem must be done separately.

Change of grease:

..

Change actuator to manual operation to release the torque.

Unscrew grub screw (Part no. 30) and remove it together with handwheel

..

.

.

retainer ring, while turning handwheel slowly counterclockwise.
Take off handwheel together with hub, thereby turn it slightly to and fro.
Thrust out lid (part no. 028) from handwheel.
Remove old grease. Gearing can be cleaned with cleaning agent (e.g.
Kerosene) in order to completely remove old grease.

Fill in new grease respecting correct quantity (see table below)

.

Replace seals at handwheel.

.

Apply grease to lower part of handwheel hub.

.

Place handwheel with hub in housing, thereby turning it slightly.

.

Ensure that lip of seal at the hollow shaft is not damaged when passing
over hollow shaft.

.

Push lip of seal carefully over hollow shaft with rounded tool.

.

Insert handwheel retainer ring (part no. 30), while turning the handwheel
slowly clockwise.

.

Screw in and fasten grub screw (part no. 30).

.

Fit lid (part no. 028) into handwheel.

.

Turn handwheel in both directions in order to check for easy running.

.

Place actuator back on valve and fasten it.

Switch on voltage supply and perform test run of actuator.

Check setting of limit switching in end positions, reset if
required.
