serve as compost for the plants or be guided to the sewer. When the
filter is put in the backwash position (the arrow on the knob H pointing
to the waste water hose / pipe) and the drain valve is opened, the dirt
will flow out of the filter, with the water. Close the tap of the return hose
/ pipe.
H.
Knob; for setting the pressure filter to normal filtration or cleaning
(backwash).
The arrow on the knob indicates to which output the water flows. The
middle of the knob holds a dirt indicator, which indicates when the filter
is too dirty.
I.
Cleaning lever: for cleaning the filter foam when filter is in rinsing mode.
By turning the handle, the filter foam will be squeezed together and
cleaned.
Starting up the pressure filter
(illustration 1 through 4 and 10 through 13, pg. 3 and 5):
! Read both the operating instructions of the pressure filter and the
operating instructions supplied with the pump.
Important! The pressure filter may not run dry. Damage to the UV-C
cannot be ruled out in this case.
Choose a suitable location for the pressure filter.
Do no place the filter in direct sunlight.
Place the pressure filter on a flat, level surface, use tile , if necessary.
Only for VarioPress Pro 24000 and 40000; the pressure filter can be
buried up to about 2/3 (to just below the clamp ring).
Connecting the hose or PVC pipe; choose a large hose or PVC pipe to
prevent flow resistance:
Choosing a hose:
a.
Mount the 3 taps with hose connection and seal (fig. 12) to the
connections (A, F and G) of the pressure filter. Saw the hose fitting
to the correct hose diameter prior to mounting. Use hose clamps to
clamp down waterproof hoses.
b.
Connect the supply hose coming from the pump, to connection (A).
c.
Connect the return hose that runs back to the pond waterfall runs
etc. to connection (F). The maximum discharge head after the
pressure filter must not exceed 2m.
d.
Connect the waste water hose, which guides the rinsing water to the
garden or the sewer, to connector (G).
The transparent hose fitting Ø50mm with seal (fig. 10) can be fitted to
connection (A) using a supply hose Ø50mm.
Choosing a PVC pipe:
a.
Mount the 3 transparent hose fittings Ø50mm and seals (21) to
connections (A, F and G) of the pressure filter.
b.
Glue a PVC sleeve Ø50mm on the transparent hose fitting Ø50mm of
connection supply pipe (A), after which the supply pipe (PVC)
Ø50mm coming from the pump, can be glued to this Ø50mm PVC
sleeve.
Glue a PVC tap Ø50mm (Fig.13) to the transparent hose fitting
Ø50mm of connection return pipe (F), after which the return pipe
(PVC) Ø50mm to the pond, waterfall etc., can be glued to this PVC
