Base Settings
You can customize your base unit to suit your preferences using the B
BSS SSeettttiinnggss menu. A base PIN
(Personal Identification Number) is required to access this menu.

Nootteess:
• You can set the date, time, and dial mode in the B
BSS SSeettttiinnggss menu. For information on how to set these
features, see page 10 and 11 respectively.
• If you have more than one handset registered to the base unit and you are using the B
BSS SSeettttiinnggss menu or
registering a handset, no one else can access the B
BSS SSeettttiinnggss menu until you finish the base setup.
A base PIN is required to protect your base against
unauthorized use. It is set to ‘0000’ at factory. You
can change the base PIN.
To change the base PIN:
1. Press the
MENU
soft key to display the
Main menu items.
2. Press the
or
key to choose
BS
Settings
, and press the
SELECT
soft key.
3. Enter the current base PIN to access the
BS Settings
menu, and press the
SELECT
soft key.
Result: The display does not show the PIN as you enter
it in order to maintain secrecy.

Noottee: If you enter the wrong PIN, your phone returns to
Standby mode with a warning sound.
4. Press the
SELECT
soft key to access
1:PIN Change
option.
5. Enter a four-digit PIN you want to use for
the base, and press the
SELECT
soft key.
6. Enter the new PIN again to confirm the
number, and press the
SELECT
soft key.
7. To exit, press the
key.

Noottee:: If there are several handsets registered to the base
unit, the other handset users cannot access the B
BSS
SSeettttiinnggss menu without having the newly changed
Base PIN.
