3.4.1 - Radiator or fan heating circuit(s)
application
3.4.2 - Underfloor heating circuit(s) application
3.4.3 -Domestic hot water application
3.4.4 - Pool application
3.4 - Installation recommendations
depending on the type of
transmitters and on type of usage
Thermostatic valves: these valves should prioritise rooms with
higher levels of heat gain.
In the case of an installation using «only thermostatic valves», it is
imperative
to foresee the usage of a bypass valve (differential
valve).
In an installation with both thermostatic valves and a room
temperatue thermostat, the radiator(s) in the room in which the
thermostat is located MUST be equipped with a manual valve(s).
It is
IMPERATIVE
to refer to the installation instructions for
the initial installation of the ambient temperature thermostat to
ensure satisfactory operation.
It is MANDATORY to install a floor
temperature limiter on the outlet of
each underfloor heating circuit.
Where hot water can reach more than 60°C
(notably installations with anti-legionellosis
treatment), the installation of a thermostatic mixing
valve on the hot water outlet is MANDATORY to
prevent risk of burns.
Any use of the tank where the primary heat
exchanger has a power level of 25kW (1.5m
2
)
could lead to the Heat Pump malfunctioning due to
significant on/off cycling.
It is not necessary to empty the tank first.
• Set parameter 207 to a value less or equal to 50
o
C (See setting
the operating parameters).
• Replace the electronic bridges between terminals 4-5 for circuit
1; and terminals 1-2 if circuit 2 is being used for underfloor
heating with floor temperature limiters.
These safety aquastat temperature limiters cut the power supply
to the floor circulator of circuit 1 (Cchauf 1) and circuit 2 (Cchauf
2) in case of abnormally high temperatures in the underfloor
heating circuit.
1 - Place the floor temperature limiter in its pre-defined place.
2 - Place the bulb on the heating circuit outlet pipe.
3 - Use a tie-wrap to keep the bulb in place.
4 - Install insulation around the bulb.
5 - Remove the factory installed electronic bridge PO:
•between terminals 4-5 for circuit 1
•between terminal 1-2 for circuit 2
6 - Electronically connect the floor temperature limiter to terminals :
•4 and 5 for circuit 1
•1 and 2 for circuit 2
Place the safety aquastat on the
heating outlet pipe
(example for circuit 1)

Domestic hot water production is possible from the Pilot. The
heating of the domestic hot water tank is done through a primary
water circuit connected to the Pilot (circuit n°2) (Accessories :
«2
nd
circuit at an identical temperature» -Ref. 751003- and «DHW
temperature sensor» -Ref. 710029-).
It is IMPORTANT that the domestic hot water tank
be equipped with an adequately powered heat
exchanger (minimum 40kW).
For the proper functioning of the coupling of the Heat Pump, the
the heat exchanger must have a surface area of at least 1.5m².
For a non-permanent pool, refer to the manual supplied with the
Summer pool control kit (Ref. 751006).
FOR A PERMANENT POOL (WINTER USE)
THE SUMMER POOL CONTROL KIT MUST NOT BE
USED.
The domestic water circuit must be installed in compliance with
all regulations in effect. In particular the installation must comply
with the following regulations:
• It is mandatory to install a pressure relief valve on the cold water
inlet of the tank.
• Do not place a shut-off valve between the pressure relief valve
and the tank.
NB
: It is normal for the pressure relief valve to leak a small amount of
water when reheating the water in the DHW tank.
• To avoid these leaks if network pressure exceeds 4 bars:
- Install a pressure reducer on the cold water inlet.
- Install a domestic water expansion vessel between the
pressure relief valve and the tank.
• The number of elbows used and heat losses should be
minimised, the valves must be appropriate for the installation.
• In regions where the domestic water is extremely hard (TH > 15),
it is recommended to install a descaling device on the cold water
inlet, the TH level must be less than 15.
• The concentration of chloride levels in domestic hot water
must be less than 60mg/L (necessary quality of water meant for
human consumption).
