Assigning numbers / MSN
Your telephone network operator provides you with several ISDN phone num-
bers (MSNs). These can be used for specific purposes, e.g. to record separate
statistics on private and business call costs. Each programmed MSN (max. 5)
can be allocated to one or more handset(s) and given a corresponding name.
Refer to Page 69 for the sequence of option selections.
If no MSN has been programmed, all incoming calls are signalled on all the
handsets.
Assigning MSN
Refer to Page 69 for the sequence of option selections. In the list of registered
handsets, those to be assigned the relevant MSN should be identify by On
and confirmed by pressing Saved.
Settings
The settings of the following functions can be adjusted on the handset:
Key beep
: Acoustic signal confirming a button has been pressed.
Range beep
: Warning signal indicating you are reaching the limit of the
range to the base station and there is a risk of disconnection.
Charging beep
: Acknowledgement signal when establishing a charging
contact.
Automatic DTMF
1
: Digits post−dialled when a connection is established
are transmitted as DTMF signals (e.g. for remote control of an answering
machine, etc.). When this function is deactivated, keypad signals are
transmitted instead. The respective, non−active function can be accessed
in Options when a connection is established.
