General operation
Switching on/off
1. Press the
/
s
button, the LED above the button
q
/
p
lights up and in the display
appears a number.
2. Press the
/
s
button again to switch the answering machine off. In the display
appears
− −
. In this mode no messages are recorded.
Recording time
There are 60 seconds available to leave a message. If the caller speaks for a longer period, an
acoustic signal is issued and the call is disconnected. If there is a pause in excess of seven seconds
during recording, the call is automatically ended, accompanied by an acoustic signal.
Listening−in to incoming messages
The integrated loudspeaker enables you to listen to messages as they are being recorded. If you do
not want to listen−in to incoming calls, reduce the volume by pressing the Volume button
z
as of-
ten as necessary.
Interrupting a recording
If you lift the receiver while an incoming message is being recorded, recording is stopped and you
can talk to the caller.
Playing back messages
When the LED above the
q
/
p
button is flashing, it means that new messages, me-
mos or call extracts have been recorded in your absence.
1. Press the
q
/
p
button once.
The answering machine plays the recorded messages. The new message recorded is played
back first.
If you have no new messages, all recorded messages that you have not yet deleted will be
played back. If no messages have been saved, you will hear several beep tones.
2. To interrupt playback of the messages, press the
q
/
p
button.
3. Press the
q
/
p
button again to resume playback of the messages.
4. To stop playback of the messages, press the
/
s
button.
After the last message has been played back, two acoustic signals are issued.
Repeat playback of current message
Press the
x
/CHECK button to repeat playback of the current message.
Repeat playback of previous message
Press the
x
/CHECK button until an acoustic signal is issued. The previous message is played
back again.
Skipping a message
Press the
u
/SET button once to skip the message currently being played. The answering ma-
chine plays the next message.
Skipping several messages
Press the
u
/SET button several times in succession.
