Using Airplay
One of the most convenient ways to play music
through the system is by using Apple Airplay.
Take any Apple device, or the iTunes application on
Windows and look for Airplay audio output devices.
In the list of available devices you should see a new
one named
volumio
. Select it to stream audio to it.
Due to the nature of Airplay, the receiving device, in
this case our player/streamer, does not know which
song it is playing, or even that it is playing music from
an external source.
