2.2.2 Hood Hinge
Removing
– Remove the hood. Refer to
⇒ “2.2.1 Hood“, page 38
– Detach gas-filled strut -2- from the lid hinge. Refer to
⇒ “2.2.6 Gas-Filled Strut“, page 40 .
– Detach line channel -1- on the lid hinge by releasing the catch‐
es.
– Mark the installation location of lid hinge -3- with a marker for
reinstallation.
– Remove the bolts -4- and -5-.
Note
Screws -4- and -5- are different lengths.
– Remove the lid hinge.
Installing
• For the correct tightening specifications, refer to
⇒ “1.2.1 Hood Assembly Overview“, page 12 .
Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:
– Adjust lid hinge stop screw -1- to dimension -a-.
• Dimension -a- = 34 mm.
– Install the lid hinge according to the marking applied during
removal.
– Adjust the hood. Refer to ⇒ “1.2.3 Hood, Adjusting“, page 14
2.2.3 Striker Pin with Catch
Removing
– Remove the cap nuts -3-.
– Remove striker pin -1- with catch on hood -2-.
Installation
• For the correct tightening specifications; refer to
⇒ “1.2.1 Hood Assembly Overview“, page 12 .
Install in reverse order of removal.
