Disconnecting the battery

WARNING

Always make sure that the vehicle's electrical system
is protected by disconnecting the battery before per-
forming work on the electrical system.
◆
Only unscrew the battery negative terminal (-) of the
battery.
◆
The battery positive terminal (+) of the battery must
only be unscrewed once the battery has been re-
moved from the vehicle.
