Motorcycle Assembly

If you purchased your Atomik dirt bike from an authorized dealer and you received the motorcycle assembled, please skip

this section. If you have purchased this motorcycle and it is still in the original carton, please follow the simple assembly

instructions below:

Place the motorcycle right side up and remove the cardboard box.

The motorcycle should be covered by a metal frame similar to the

one   shown to the right. Use a Phillips head screwdriver and a

10mm wrench to remove all of the screws located at the base of the

metal cage. Once all   screws have been removed, remove the upper

portion of the cage as shown to the right. Once the metal cage is

out of the way, remove all of the packing material from the

motorcycle.

Remove the front axle bolt (17mm) and the shock absorber bolt

(15mm) that are used to fasten the motorcycle to the metal cage.

They are circled in the photo to the right. Pay special attention to

the washers and bearings. Please refer to the diagrams in the

service section if you are not sure how to re-assemble each bolt.

Place the front wheel between the front forks. Line up the hole and

insert the front axle. Be sure that the disc brake rotor has been

inserted   properly between the brake pads. Be sure that you have

placed each spacer on the correct side. The short spacer must be on

the same side as the brake disc rotor. The long spacer is circled in

the photo to the right. Use a 17mm wrench and torque to 40 ft. lbs.

Please refer to the diagrams in the service

section of this manual if you are unsure about the placement of a

spacer or

washer.
