STARTING THE ENGINE
NOTE:
Before starting
the engine, do
not connect any
electrical appliances.
1. Turn the fuel cap
air vent to ON.
2. Turn the fuel
tap to ON.
3. Press the engine
switch to ON.
4. Pull out the
choke. This is not
necessary if the
engine is warm.
5. When starting
the generator
for the first time
after refilling, pull
the recoil handle
approximately 6
times. This will
pump fuel up to
the carburettor.
6. Pull the recoil starter handle slowly until
resistance is felt. Return the handle
to its original position and pull out
firmly. After starting, allow the starter
handle to return to its original position
while still holding the handle.
7. Warm up the engine.
8. Push the choke
back in to the
RUN position.
9. Warm up the
engine for a few
minutes before
plugging in any
appliances.
