Unpacking and Setup
This chapter provides unpacking and setup information for the Switch.
3.1
Package Contents
Unpack the package and check all the items carefully. If any item contained is
damaged or missing, please contact your local dealer as soon as possible. Also,
keep the box and packing materials in case you need to ship the unit in the future.
The package should contain the following items:
One NetMaster PoE Switch
1 x One power cord (Schuko)
4 x Rubber footpads for Desk-mount
1 x Rack-mount kit for installing the switch in a 19-inch rack
1 x One Quick Start Guide (English, French and Italian)
1 x WEEE Disclaimer and Warranty Card
3.2
Installation
The setup of the Switch can be performed using the following steps:
The surface must support at least 1.5 Kg for the Switch.
The power outlet should be within 1.82 meters (6 feet) of the Switch.
Visually inspect the AC power jack and make sure that it is fully secured to the
power cable.
Make sure that there is proper heat dissipation from and adequate ventilation
around the Switch (at elast 10cm). Do not place heavy objects on the Switch.
