To configure the device, it must be connected to power at 10/30 V DC.

Push button
The push button located on the front panel of the housing can be used to initiate a Modbus/Radio cycle. This lets you
test the Modbus configuration and radio connectivity. If no Modbus frame is configured, a
“
keep-alive
”
frame will be
sent.

Interpreting the indicator lights
The indicator lights are used to display the state of operation of the DINRSM. In general, a
GREEN
light indicates
correct operation, while a
RED
light indicates an error.
Success or failure of an operation
Behaviour
The
RED
or
GREEN
flashes rapidly for about ½ second. A
RED
light indicates failure, while a
GREEN
light indicates
success.
Event
•
When switching on the device (after a brief delay) to indicate it has started up correctly.
•
After a Modbus frame if the response fails (
RED
light).
USB connection or radio activity
When a radio message is sent over the network, the
GREEN
light flashes every half-second while it is being sent. This
may last for up to one minute. This light flashes in a similar manner when the product is connected via USB.
Modbus communication
During Modbus communication, the
GREEN
light remains on throughout the entire process. If a Modbus error is
detected, the
RED
light will flash rapidly.
