What is an anode and what is it?
The magnesium anode protects the appliance from corrosion due to electric
currents present in the water. The anode, consumed, avoids that these consume electrical current, discharging
to the tank, the material of which is composed of the inside of the tank (the enamel), ensuring a longer life of the
tank itself. In order to extend the life of the latter, the anode is to be replaced every year.
