Life cycle
6.1
Transport
The device should be transported in the same way as new devices of this type. If the original box or another
protection (e. g. corks) is not available, it is necessary to secure the device against shocks, vibrations and
moisture on one's own, using other equivalent methods.
Transport of the device should be carried out under the environmental conditions described in the table 7.
6.2
Installation
6.2.1
Location of gas detectors
The location of detectors should be determined by the system designer, and it should take into account such
factors as:
medium density detected in relation to the density of air – generally light gas detectors are
mounted approx. 30 cm under the vault of the facility, and heavy gas detectors approx. 30 cm
above the floor,
the places of the likely accumulation of gas, due to the potential lack of ventilation, or because of
the construction of the unit (e.g. a part of the roof cut of by structural elements from other
parts),
